Something Traumatizing
So I took the kids through an automatic car wash today. Boy did I learn something new about Eli. He HATES the car wash. As soon as the water and soap hit the windows, he started crying and screaming like I have never heard him before. He was bright red in the face in 2.4 seconds. He cried the whole time and had such a tight grip on my hand. As soon as I started driving out of the car wash, he looked at me and grinned. What a silly boy. I should probably wait a while before taking him through one of those again. I think he was a little traumatized.
I took Jackson in for his follow up appointment yesterday for his surgery. His ears are healing nicely. Although the second the Dr. started to look in Jackson’s ears, he went hysterical. I had to hold his legs, arms, and head still so that the Dr. could get a look in his ears. I was going to get molds made of his ears for swimming and bath time but I decided to wait and do that at his 3 month check up in April. He hates having anyone or anything touch his ears now. Poor kid. He has gone through so much with his ears. Hopefully all of that should be over now.
Paul is finally done with his huge deadline at work. We had a long weekend. well pretty much no weekend at all. Paul worked late Friday, and came home and worked until 6 am. Then he was back at work at 10 am on Saturday. Came home late again and worked until 4 am. Sunday he sure was tired and a little cranky understandably. However, his work is letting him take the rest of the week off starting tomorrow. So happy day, we have a long weekend ahead of us. Those are so nice! The boys sure missed their daddy this weekend and so did I.
